Solution: To clear this error, enable permissions for the xml_gateway user. If utilizing user-based permissions, these can be found in Sage Intacct by following Company > Users > Subscriptions. If utilizing role-based permissions, follow Company > Roles > Subscriptions

Set the following permissions for all modules that apply to your Sage Intacct account...

  • Administration (All)
  • Company (Read-only)
  • Cash Management (All)
  • Time and Expense (All)
  • General Ledger (All)
  • Projects (Read-only)
  • Accounts Payable (All)

Once these are enabled, sync your connection within Expensify by following Settings > Policies > [Policy Name] > Connections > Sync Now and then attempt to export again.
